Quality control, quick answers
- How do you manage quality on overseas orders?
- Through four levers. We route work only to factories whose process capability we have verified, we challenge under specified drawings before a purchase order is raised, we agree inspection points and acceptance criteria for ongoing or higher risk programs, and we inspect in line and before shipment against your drawing.
- What inspection is included?
- Standard programs include first article inspection, in line dimensional checks against the drawing, and a final pre shipment inspection with photo evidence. CMM dimensional reports are available on request where the part calls for them.
- Do you provide material certificates?
- Yes, on request. EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates can be supplied covering chemical composition, mechanical properties and heat traceability. Flag it in your brief and we build it into the purchase order.
- Is Global Supply Network ISO 9001 certified?
- No. Global Supply Network itself does not hold ISO 9001. We check each supplier's certificate and its scope with the issuing body during selection, so the certificate sits with the factory making the part.
- Can you inspect on site?
- Yes. For higher stakes production we put our own people closer to the floor during the run, and on the most critical jobs we travel to the factory to inspect parts before they ship.

Quality Control for
Overseas Manufacturing
Quality is built in before a part is made, not found after it lands. We manage supplier selection, drawing review and staged inspection on every overseas order we run for Australian manufacturers.
How it works
Supplier selection
We only route work to factories whose process capability we have already checked against our own group's standards. Many started as suppliers to our own production through Perfetti Engineering and McIver Engineering. Where a supplier holds ISO 9001 or ISO 13485, we check the certificate and its scope with the issuing body before any work is placed.
Drawing review
A vague tolerance or a missing surface callout is the most common cause of defects we see. We will question an under specified drawing before a purchase order is raised, because fixing it on paper costs far less than fixing it in a container.
Staged inspection
Standard programs include first article inspection, in line dimensional checks against the drawing, and a final pre shipment inspection with photo evidence. For ongoing or higher risk programs we put a Master Services Agreement in place that sets out inspection points, acceptance criteria and rework terms.
Reports and certificates
EN 10204 3.1 material certificates and CMM dimensional reports are available on request for any order. Tell us what documentation you need in your brief and it goes into the purchase order from the start.
What we do not claim
Global Supply Network does not hold ISO 9001 itself. For programs that need a certified prime contractor, such as flight critical aerospace or implantable medical work, we are not the right fit and we will say so at the start.

Quality control runs inside our overseas manufacturing and raw material sourcing services, and continues through freight and customs. Our ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 guide explains what a supplier certificate does and does not cover.
Send us the drawing
Tell us the part, the tolerance that matters and the paperwork you need, and we will set the inspection plan around it.
