How is traceability maintained on safety-related parts?
EN 10204 3.1 material test certificates on request, heat number traceability, welding procedure and welder qualification records, non-destructive testing where specified, and dimensional reports for machined features. Records are held against the lot.
Can parts be inspected in Australia?
For critical parts, final inspection can be performed in Australia before release. Standard parts are inspected overseas before shipment.

Tanks, guards, doors, panels and depot tooling. Bogie-adjacent non-safety hardware, plus consumable fasteners and fixings supplied to a defined grade rather than to whatever is cheapest that week.

Materials we buy.

Structural and high-strength low-alloy steel, 304 and 316 stainless for interior and exterior exposure, marine-grade aluminium sheet and extrusion for weight-critical parts, cast iron and steel for housings, bronze and engineering polymer for bushes, plus powder-coat, hot-dip galvanised and anodised finishes. Weight, corrosion exposure and vibration environment drive grade selection, and the chosen grade is written into the purchase order.

Certification & compliance.

Transport buyers audit paperwork before they audit parts. Welding is commonly specified to AS/NZS 1554, or to ISO 3834 and EN 15085 where a rail operator requires it. Coating systems follow AS/NZS 2312 for the relevant exposure category, and interior components frequently carry fire, smoke and toxicity requirements set by the operator. Many suppliers we use hold ISO 9001, and certificates can be verified during supplier selection. Global Supply Network does not hold ISO 9001 itself. Our contribution is control: EN 10204 3.1 material certificates on request, heat number traceability, welding procedure specifications and welder qualification records, non-destructive testing where specified, first article inspection depending on job type and production stage, and dimensional reports on machined features. Supplier non-disclosure agreements are signed before drawings are released, and a master services agreement suits repeat fleet work.
