Mining sourcing, quick answers
- What mining parts does GSN source?
- Wear plate assemblies, ground engaging tools (GET), bucket teeth and adaptors, liners, chutes, screen panels, hydraulic cylinders and manifolds, gearbox housings, conveyor structural steel and bolted access enclosures.
- How is quality controlled for mining components?
- Material certificates (EN 10204 3.1), hardness testing on wear parts, NDT (DPI, MPI, UT) on welded and cast components, dimensional inspection, and pre-shipment inspection at the factory. Critical parts pulled to McIver Engineering in Sydney for final QC.
- Can you source Hardox or Bisalloy equivalent wear plate?
- Yes. We source certified abrasion-resistant plate (400, 450, 500, 600 HB grades) with mill test certificates. Fabricated wear liners, chute plates and bucket wear packages are all supported.
- Do you handle the onshore side too?
- Yes. McIver Engineering in Smithfield, Sydney handles urgent short runs, repair work and IP-sensitive fabrication. Many mining programs run hybrid: volume offshore, critical or urgent parts onshore.

Sourcing & Manufacturing
for Mining.
Wear parts, ground engaging tools, hydraulic components and structural fabrications for Australian mines and OEMs. Overseas manufactured, engineered from Sydney, with McIver Engineering as the onshore fallback when critical parts cannot wait.
/ Typical parts
Bucket teeth and adaptors, wear plate liners, chute and hopper linings, screen panels, feeder pans, drill rods and shanks, conveyor idlers and frames, hydraulic cylinders, gearbox housings, coupling flanges, bolted access panels, cable trays and lighting enclosures.
QC approach.
Every mining program is treated as high-consequence. Material certificates on every heat, hardness checks on wear parts, NDT on welded and cast items, dimensional reports and pre-shipment inspection. On critical items, we pull the final QC gate back to McIver Engineering in Sydney so nothing ships to site until Australian eyes have seen it.
The McIver onshore option.
Some parts should not go offshore. Urgent site-down repairs, one-off custom fabrication, and IP-sensitive assemblies run through McIver Engineering in Sydney, our sister business, established 1947. Same brief, onshore delivery.
