- What sheet metal processes do you source?
- Fibre laser cutting, CNC punching, CNC press brake bending, robotic and MIG/TIG welding, spot welding, hardware insertion (PEM), deburring, powder coating, wet paint, plating and full enclosure assembly.
- What materials and thicknesses?
- Mild steel, galvanised steel, stainless (304, 316), aluminium (5052, 5083, 6061) and copper. Thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 25 mm depending on process. Laser cutting sheet sizes up to 3,000 × 1,500 mm standard, larger on request.
- Do you make electrical and IP-rated enclosures?
- Yes. IP54, IP65 and IP66 rated enclosures for industrial control, telecoms, mining and defence. Full assembly with DIN rail, gaskets, PEM studs, cable glands, powder coat and silk-screen labels.
- What are tolerances and QC deliverables?
- Cut features ±0.1 mm, bent features ±0.25° angular. Weld inspection to AS/NZS 1554 on request. Powder coat film thickness reports, dimensional checks and packaging traceability all supported.
- How does offshore sheet metal compare on cost?
- For enclosures, brackets and general fabrication, offshore is typically 30 to 50% cheaper landed than Australian fabrication once freight, powder coat and duties are included. For urgent short runs or heavily regulated work, McIver Engineering in Sydney is often the better call.

Fibre laser cutting to 25 mm mild steel, CNC punching for high-volume repeats with formed features, CNC press brake bending to 4 m length with automatic tool change. Nesting optimised for material yield across your annual volume.
Weld & assemble.
MIG, TIG, robotic and spot welding in steel, stainless and aluminium. Weld inspection to AS/NZS 1554 on request. Full enclosure assembly including PEM studs, DIN rail, gaskets, cable glands and hardware.
Finishing.
Powder coat (RAL, Interpon, Dulux equivalents), wet paint, zinc plating, galvanising, anodising, silk-screen and pad printing, laser engraving. Film thickness reports on request.
