- Do you supply certificates for structural steel?
- EN 10204 3.1 material test certificates are available on request, with heat number traceability to the delivered items. Welding procedure and welder qualification records, galvanising certificates and coating thickness reports can be made release conditions.
- Who is responsible for compliance sign-off?
- Design certification, engineering sign-off and any conformity assessment for the asset remain with the project engineer or principal contractor. We source to the specification you provide and supply the supporting documentation.
- Can urgent or sensitive items be made onshore?
- Yes, through McIver Engineering in Sydney, our sister business established 1947, for CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding and assembly.

Materials we buy.
Structural grade carbon steel plate, sections and hollow sections, reinforcing accessories, 316 stainless for coastal and buried applications, aluminium extrusion for lightweight covers and frames, ductile iron for covers and grates, plus hot-dip galvanising, duplex coating systems and powder coat finishes chosen for the exposure category of the site rather than a generic default.
Certification & compliance.
Infrastructure buyers work to a specification and a set of Australian Standards. Structural fabrication commonly references AS/NZS 5131 with a construction category set by the designer, welding AS/NZS 1554, galvanising AS/NZS 4680, protective coatings AS/NZS 2312, and platforms, walkways, stairs and handrails AS 1657. Many suppliers we engage hold ISO 9001, and their certificates can be verified during selection. Global Supply Network does not hold ISO 9001 itself. What we manage is the evidence: EN 10204 3.1 material test certificates on request, heat number traceability, welding procedure and welder qualification records, galvanising and coating thickness reports, non-destructive testing where the specification calls for it, and dimensional records for interfacing features. Design certification and asset sign-off remain with the project engineer. Critical items can be inspected in Australia before release; standard items are inspected overseas before shipment.
