- Structural steel frames and skids, tanks and vessels, pipe spools, flanges, valve bodies, machined shafts and housings, IP-rated switchboard and control enclosures, cable ladder and tray, gaskets, fasteners and general balance-of-plant hardware.
- What standards apply to energy fabrication?
- Common references are AS 1210 for pressure vessels, AS 4041 for pressure piping, AS/NZS 1554 for structural welding, AS/NZS 3000 for electrical installation and AS 60529 for ingress protection. We confirm the applicable standard for each item before a supplier is engaged.
- How is material traceability handled?
- EN 10204 3.1 material test certificates are available on request, matched to heat numbers and stamped items. Welding procedure and welder qualification records, non-destructive testing reports and dimensional reports can be specified as release conditions.
- Can critical items be inspected before release?
- Yes. For critical parts, final inspection can be performed in Australia before parts are released to you. Standard items are inspected overseas prior to shipment.
- Can energy work be made onshore instead?
- Yes. Where a part is IP-sensitive, urgent or better suited to local fabrication, the program can be routed through McIver Engineering in Sydney, our sister business established 1947, for CNC machining, sheet metal, welding and assembly.

Energy programs live and die on documentation. We source fabricated, machined and electrical hardware for generation, transmission, renewables and gas balance-of-plant, with the certificates and inspection records written into the purchase order rather than chased afterwards.

Structural steel frames, skids and support structures. Tanks, hoppers and non-coded vessels. Pipe spools, flanges, fittings and valve bodies. Machined shafts, sleeves, bearing housings and wear rings for pumps and turbines. IP-rated switchboard, control and instrument enclosures, cable ladder, tray and gland plates. Solar and wind balance-of-plant hardware such as mounting brackets, clamps, purlins, foundation cages and galvanised fasteners. Gaskets, seals and fastener kits supplied to specification rather than to a generic grade.
Materials we buy.
Carbon steel plate and sections, low-temperature and pressure-grade plate, 304 and 316 stainless, duplex where corrosion demands it, aluminium extrusion and plate, bronze and cast iron for wear components, hot-dip galvanised and duplex-coated finishes for coastal and inland exposure, and engineering plastics for insulating and wear applications. Grade, heat treatment condition and coating system are locked down in writing before a supplier quotes.
Certification & compliance.
Energy hardware usually sits against a named standard. Pressure vessels reference AS 1210, pressure piping AS 4041, structural welding AS/NZS 1554, electrical installation AS/NZS 3000 and enclosure ingress ratings AS 60529. Many of our suppliers hold ISO 9001, and their certificates can be verified as part of supplier selection. Global Supply Network does not itself hold ISO 9001, and we will not claim otherwise. What we do control is the evidence trail: EN 10204 3.1 material test certificates on request, welding procedure specifications and welder qualifications, non-destructive testing reports, coating thickness and holiday testing records, and dimensional reports for machined features. Critical parts can be inspected in Australia before release; standard parts are inspected overseas before shipment. Supplier non-disclosure agreements are signed before drawings leave our office, and a master services agreement is recommended for repeat programs.

Where a part is IP-sensitive, needed at short notice, or simply better made locally, the work runs through McIver Engineering in Sydney. CNC machining, sheet metal, welding and assembly under the same program management, so a hybrid split between offshore volume and onshore urgency is a normal outcome rather than an exception.
