- What do equipment manufacturers usually source with you?
- Machined shafts, housings, bushes and manifolds, welded frames and chassis, sheet metal covers, guards and control enclosures, gearboxes and drive components, castings and forgings, moulded plastic parts, and kitted fastener and fitting packs for assembly.
- Can you handle build-to-print work?
- Yes. Build-to-print is the normal mode: you supply drawings and a specification, we select the supplier, lock the material grade and finish, and manage inspection and delivery. Supplier non-disclosure agreements are signed before drawings are released.
- What certification norms apply?
- Machinery safety and CE marking obligations sit with the equipment manufacturer placing the product on the market. Component level references commonly include ISO 2768 or drawing-specific tolerances, AS/NZS 1554 for welding, AS 60529 for enclosure ingress and AS/NZS 3000 for electrical installation work.
- How do you protect intellectual property?
- Supplier non-disclosure agreements before drawings leave our office, a master services agreement for repeat programs, and the option to route IP-sensitive parts onshore through McIver Engineering in Sydney so no data goes offshore.
- Can production be split between offshore and onshore?
- Yes. A common split is volume components offshore for cost and machined or urgent items onshore through McIver Engineering, managed as one program.

Typical parts sourced.
Machined shafts, spindles, bushes, bearing housings, hydraulic manifolds and valve blocks. Welded frames, chassis, bases and skids. Sheet metal covers, guards, hoppers, chutes and control enclosures. Gearboxes, sprockets, pulleys, couplings and drive components. Castings and forgings for housings and levers. Injection moulded covers, knobs, clips and handles. Rollers, wear liners and conveyor components. Kitted fastener, seal and fitting packs assembled to your bill of materials so the line receives one part number instead of forty.
Materials we buy.
Carbon and alloy steel bar and plate, free-machining and stainless grades, aluminium extrusion, plate and billet, cast iron, bronze and engineering plastics such as nylon, acetal and ultra high molecular weight polyethylene, plus zinc plating, anodising, powder coat and hard chrome finishes. Grade, temper, heat treatment and surface finish are fixed in writing before a supplier is asked to quote.
Certification & compliance.
Responsibility for machinery safety and for any CE or market conformity declaration stays with the manufacturer placing the equipment on the market. At component level we work to your drawings and the standards they cite, commonly ISO 2768 general tolerances or drawing-specific tolerances, AS/NZS 1554 for welding, AS 60529 for enclosure ingress ratings and AS/NZS 3000 where electrical installation work is involved. Many of our suppliers hold ISO 9001, and certificates can be verified during selection. Global Supply Network does not hold ISO 9001 itself. Our documentation set includes EN 10204 3.1 material test certificates on request, first article inspection depending on job type and production stage, coordinate measuring machine reports on critical features, and functional or pressure testing where specified. Critical parts can be inspected in Australia before release; standard parts are inspected overseas before shipment.
